The 7th Annual AKPA Charity Golf Tournament—The AKPA Open will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2008 at Mystery Valley Golf Club, 6094 Shadow Rock Drive, Lithonia, GA 30058 in conjunction with the Jamhuri Classic tournament. Tournament registration and practice starts at 10:00AM and tee times will be assigned shortly thereafter. Maximum challenge and fun is guaranteed, with an event-filled day complete with 1st, 2nd & 3rd Prizes; putting and pitching contests, longest drive, closest to the pin, and raffle prizes. The winner of the tournament will also be crowned the Jamhuri Classic Champion of the month.Registration is only $65.00 per player which includes green fee, cart and range balls. Due to course restrictions, we request that registration be received by June 10, 2008. The proceeds of the Tournament will goes towards funding AKPA’s Education Scholarship The Dr. Njeri Karangu Memorial Scholarship which recognizes outstanding academic achievement, leadership and community service by Kenyan students attending institutions of higher learning in Georgia. However, in recognition of the continuing humanitarian needs in Kenya, we are dedicating all the proceeds from this year’s tournament toward supporting children who are internally displaced as a result of the political crisis, which took place in Kenya at the beginning of the year. AKPA is also accepting donations towards this cause. Various event-sponsorship levels are also available ranging from $250 to $2000.
